First time I heard of Znort was at the Blow Out Hardcore Pt.2 festival in Rome, organzied by Kick Agency and that's also the agency that gave me this demo. So who the hell is Znort?! Znort is an italian metal band started by Aldo Moriani, Gio Martinello and Keivan Noamouz. After releasing 2 demos and 2 self-produced CD with the name Ematoma, Aldo (Vocals) and Gio (Guitar) decided to start a new project together with Keivan (Bass) searching new sounds and trying the electronic experience. The result of this new project is "200 Bpm", 10 track CD recorded and mixed at the Geko Records. The band is the joined in june by Emanuele Taddei (Drums) to finally delete the drum machine from this band. Chosing the name of the band from the 80s' comics by Stefano Tamburini & Tonino Liberatore, Ranx Xerox. Now after introducing the band, here's something about their demo... All songs are in italian demonstrating the metalcore influence of this band. First song is Nebbia (Fog), pure metal with some interesting calm breakdowns, song that kicks asses live. The following track is Peste Occidentale (Black Death from the west), explicit song about today's society infected by the US, really strong lyrics are used on this song. Zona Franca is the third song of this CD, really fast beginning alternated with "slow" chorus. Next songs, Macerie together with Nascondersi kinda remember me of Max Cavalera's project with Nailbomb from the electronic samplers used. Fuori Di Me is another song where we can find many electronic influences together with fast singing. Firenze 1985 is a really really fast and revolutionary song only 27 seconds long but screaming all of their rage. Maidominoi is opened by a techno beat to lead us to another fast and heavy song background by some really great riffs and drumming. Last songs of the demo are Esseri Atipici, another Nailbomb like song that introduces F.L.N.G. to close this demo. So with many influences from Nailbomb I must say I really like this demo and I hope you will too! La prima volta che ho sentito gli Znort! ero al Blowout Hardcore Festival p.t.2 a Roma,organizzato dalla Kick Agency e qualcuno di loro mi ha dato questo demo.Cosi', chi sono gli Znort?! Znort è una metal band italiana che nasce da Aldo Moriani,Gio Martinello e Keivan Noamouz.Dopo 2 demo e due cd autoprodotti con il nome Ematoma,Aldo (voce) e Gio (chitarra) decidono di avviare un nuovo progetto con Keivan (bass) ripartendo dalla ricerca dei suoni e dalla sperimentazione elettronica.Il risultato di questo nuovo progetto è "200 bpm",10 tracce registrate e mixate alla Geko Records.La band incontra in Giugno Emanuele Taddei (drum) che rimpiazza le drum machine della band.La scelta del nome è un omaggio al fumetto degli anni '80 di Stefano Tamburini e Tanino Liberatore,Ranx Xerox.Ora, dopo l'introduzione della band ecco qualcosa del demo...Tutti i brani sono in italiano e dimostrano le influenze metalcore della band.La prima canzone è Nebbia,metal puro con interessanti stacchi,davvero devastante dal vivo.La traccia seguente è Peste Occidentale (Black Death from the west),un'esplicita canzone circa la societa' di oggi infettata dagli US,veramente forte la lirica di questo pezzo.Zona Franca è la terza canzone di questo CD,un inizio molto veloce alternato a strofe lente.La successiva Macerie insieme a Nascondersi mi ricorda il progetto di Max Cavalera con i Nailbomb per l'uso dei campionamenti.Fuori di me è un altro pezzo dove possiamo trovare influenze elettroniche e cantati veloci.Firenze 1985 è veramente,veramente un brano tiratissimo e rivoluzionario di soli 27 secondi, ma in cui urlano tutta la loro furia.Maidominoi è aperta da una parte techno beat e poi un altro pezzo duro e veloce in cui la base ritmica porta un riff intenso.Le ultime canzoni del demo sono Esseri Atipici,un'altra piacevole canzone alla Nailbomb che introduce F.L.N.G. per chiudere questo demo.Quindi con molte influenze dei Nailbomb devo dire che mi piace davvero questo lavoro e spero anche a voi!
